Colombia Samaniego

Apricot // Meyer Lemon // Sweet

Colombian coffees always seem to make it to the top of our "favorites" lists, and Samaniego is no different.

This one comes from the Abades cooperative in Samaniego, located within the Nariño region, known for having some of the best coffee in the country. The Abades producer association was created by the borderlands project in 2011 and supports 240 producers and nine sub-groups within the cooperative. Together, the leaders of these sub-groups determine who the cooperative will work with, agree on prices, and participate in marketing their coffee.

We taste sweet stone-fruitiness with a lemon-like acidity, held together by a sturdy, chocolatey base. It's a perfect everyday drinker.
